Leaders from the Center for Advanced Materials for Environmental Solutions (CAMES) visited Numat Technologies, a leader in commercializing metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), to explore shared interests in advancing material-based solutions to global environmental challenges.

CAMES is committed to accelerating the discovery of molecular-based materials—especially porous (reticular) materials—by harnessing artificial intelligence and machine learning. Numat, in turn, has demonstrated success in scaling MOFs to reduce the harmful impacts of chemical products and processes across industry.

During the visit, CAMES leadership toured Numat’s facilities and engaged in in-depth discussions about the design, synthesis, and application of MOFs. The conversation focused on bridging fundamental research with scalable deployment, highlighting the value of academic-industry partnerships in achieving climate goals.

The exchange underscored a shared commitment to innovation, precision chemistry, and environmental responsibility—hallmarks of both organizations’ efforts to build a more sustainable future.
